4 Day Tour Details
Day 1
On the first day guests are driven toward the Flinders Ranges through picturesque countryside. On the way there, stops are made in Clare, Stone Hut and Warren Gorge, before arriving at the Wilpena Pound Region, our final destination for the day.
Day 2
The day starts with the optional flight over and around Wilpena
Pound. After breakfast, the party proceeds north into the
Flinders National Park within which lies Arkaroo Rock, Sacred Canyon and
Wilpena Pound. We spend the day exploring
sites and examining the invaluable historical paintings and carvings created
by the Aboriginal Australians of the area.
Day 3
After breakfast the party heads north again and follows the road into the
Buneryoo Valley and Gorge (superb scenery) and ends up at the intersection
of the Brachina Gorge and Aroona
Valley. Our journey to our hotel takes us through breathtaking
scenery of the Morolana Scenic Drive,
which will finish the day.
Day 4
On the way back to Adelaide we visit the Yourumbulla Caves and travel trough some real "Ghost towns" to Orroroo and on to the wine region of the Clare Valley. After tasting excellent wine, we finish this fascinating journey back in Adelaide in the early evening.
